1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MockStar (the "Service"), operated by Star Journey Pty Ltd (ABN 70 670 728 702), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
MockStar is an online educational platform providing mock examinations and practice resources for Opportunity Class (OC) and Selective High School (SHS) test preparation. The Service includes mock tests, practice exercises, performance analytics, and AI-generated learning insights.
3. User Accounts
To use MockStar, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Age Requirement: MockStar is designed for students and their parents/guardians. Users under 16 years of age must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. By creating an account for a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and consent to their use of the Service.
4. Subscription and Payment
MockStar offers subscription-based plans. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
- Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annually).
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on MockStar, including but not limited to exam questions, explanations, analytics reports, and AI-generated insights, is the property of Star Journey Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any exam content
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service
- Resell or commercially exploit any content from the Service
6. User Conduct
When using MockStar, you agree not to:
- Share exam content, questions, or answers with others
- Use the Service for any purpose other than personal educational use
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
- Share your account with multiple users
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service
7. Limitation of Liability
MockStar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Exam content will match actual OC/SHS test content
- Use of the Service will result in specific exam outcomes
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Star Journey Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting support.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
